Summer 2002
This
is Poole Bridge, on the North East side of Ulswater. The river passing under
me on here is the River Eamont. It is the drain for Ulswater and all connecting
lakes. It is an often visited part of the lakes due to its location, it
doesn't matter if your visiting from the north, south or east of the UK
you will have to drive past it as it is only about 3 miles from the A66/M6
junction. Click
here for map. Once here you can drive over to Howtown, the very popular
activity centre for schools all over the UK and further. alternatively you
can drive all the way down ulswater to Ambleside and Windermere into the
heart of the lakes.
